Sunday, February 22, 2026 – Revelation 16 – “Weighty Wrath and Hardened Hearts”

As we continue to navigate the heavy chapters of Revelation (hang in there – we’re just about through them!) where the final scenes of this side eternity unfold, we once again witness a dynamic that seems unimaginable and unfathomable… God’s “just and true” wrath meets hearts so entrenched in evil that despite the worst of the worst, there is no turning to God.  And what adds to the apparent audacity of the moment, one of the angels declares: “They get what they deserve” in seeming cold authoritative fashion.  Yet, once again, the Church needs to focus on the two things noted in the passage:  Be Ready! (and) God is always Just and True in all He does!  We press on with courage through it as God makes all things right and new!
