March 23 – “The Cross of Christ: It’s Curse and Compassion” – Hebrews 10:19-39 – One of the dynamic tensions of the message of the cross is both its glaring curse and its mysterious compassion – all at the same time.  How is it possible to have curse and compassion in this singular symbol?  Yet through Christ we will see that He took upon Himself the curse – defeating the curse AND its power, but did it with pure compassion, restoring our right relationship with God and opening the door to unhindered fellowship with the Creator of the universe.
