June 29: I Corinthians 13:1-3 & 14:20-26,33,40  – Building Up the Church

Every person has gifts. Every person has a place in the Church. Every person is uniquely wired. The One Spirit oversees all this. YET, we are broken people in process, growing and learning each day to emulate Christ in all things.  We are not perfect, and as such, building up the Church with our gifts and unique wiring can be complicated, messy, and at times very broken.  How do we aspire to oneness under the one Spirit and yet have all these unique gifts in operation and not split apart, come apart, or drift apart?  I Corinthians 13 & 14 hold simple truths that, when exercised with faith and trust in God, we become the answer to Christ’s prayer to be One and the Church is edified and built up.  Let’s come together to learn and grow as One this week!
