What We Believe

The Christian Reformed Church (CRC) is rooted in Reformed theology, emphasizing God’s sovereignty, grace, and the authority of Scripture. We believe that salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone, by God’s grace. The CRC values a deep connection between faith and everyday life, calling believers to live out their faith through justice, compassion, and service in the world. Guided by the Bible and historic confessions, we affirm the importance of community, the transformative power of God’s love, and the mission to bring hope and restoration to all creation.

Infant Baptism

In the Christian Reformed Church, infant baptism is a sign and seal of God’s covenant promises. It demonstrates that salvation is initiated by God’s grace, not by anything we do. Through baptism, we acknowledge that children of believers are part of God’s covenant community and are set apart as His own. While baptism does not guarantee salvation, it points to the promise that, through faith and the work of the Holy Spirit, they can grow to embrace Jesus Christ as their Savior. It’s a call for parents and the church to nurture and guide children in faith.

Profession of Faith

In the Christian Reformed Church, the Profession of Faith is a public declaration of an individual's trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. It’s a response to God’s covenant promises, often made after a period of spiritual growth and understanding. By professing faith, individuals affirm their belief in the Bible, commitment to follow Christ, and desire to live as part of the church community. It marks full membership in the church and participation in the Lord’s Supper, reflecting a lifelong journey of faith and discipleship.
