Description of Groups:

20’s and 30’s Ministry

Who: College and older

When: Varies

The 20’s & 30’s ministry at First Christian Reformed Church seeks to connect single and married adults who are committed to serving Christ wholly in their lives. A variety of groups meet to get to know one another, grow in their faith, and be the hands and feet of Christ together.

Beth Moore Bible Studies

Who: Women college-age and older

When: Wednesday evenings and Thursday mornings

Each Beth Moore Bible study is an intentional, rigorous study of the Bible geared toward women. It includes personal study throughout the week, as well as discussion groups.

Coffee Break

Who: Women of all ages

When: Monday evenings and Wednesday mornings

Coffee Break is a small group Bible study for women of First CRC and the community of Sioux Falls. The goal of the study is to encourage women in the establishment and development of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Friendship Ministries

Who: Adults with cognitive disabilities and adult mentors

When: Monday evenings at Shalom CRC

Friendship Ministries is a Bible study for individuals with physical and mental challenges. Our goal is to provide a fun and safe place for these people to know the love of God. Christian mentors meet with individuals each week to share their insight on the lesson that is presented.

Men of Integrity

Who: Men of all ages

When: Saturday mornings

Men of Integrity provides Bible study and fellowship for men. Studies typically center on men of the Bible and applying that information to our own lives.

Men’s Life

Who: Men of all ages

When: Monday evenings

Men’s Life encourages spiritual growth and fellowship across age groups. The group studies material that is conducive to inviting neighbors and friends.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

Who: Mothers of infants-kindergarten

When: Thursday mornings

MOPS is a place where moms can come to be encouraged and supported by other moms who are in the same season of life. During MOPS, children receive care in the MOPPETS program, so moms have a time of faith renewal and rejuvenation.

Senior Circuit

Who: Anyone ages 55 and older

When: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings

Senior Circuit provides seniors with exercise opportunities like walking, stretching, and light weight training to help stay in good physical health while enjoying the fellowship of others.

Seniors and Friends

Who: Anyone ages 55 and older

When: The 3rd Thursday of each month

Seniors and Friends meets monthly for a social evening of food and fellowship. A meal is served, and fellowship consists of games, special speakers, or entertainment. Overnight bus tours also are arranged occasionally.

Small Groups

Who: College-age and older

When: Varies

Small groups consist of 6-10 people who meet regularly. Together, they grow as disciples of Jesus Christ through Bible study, prayer, and friendship.

Women’s Bible Study

Who: Women of all ages

When: 2nd & 4th Tuesdays

This Bible study is a small group study to help women grow in faith and deepen their personal relationship with Jesus Christ through a variety of studies.
